“I always try to sleep for at least eight hours a night and, of course, water, water, water,” Aniston has said. “I drink 100 ounces [of water] a day.” For breakfast, she sticks to the basics. “I have warm lemon water, and then I have a shake or avocado and eggs,” she says. “Sometimes, I’ll have puffed millet cereal with a banana, or I’ll do oatmeal with an egg white whipped in at the end” — a trick she learned from ex-husband Justin Theroux to sneak in a little extra protein.
“Right before it’s finished cooking,” she suggests, “you just whip in an egg white, and it kind of gives it this fluffy texture that’s delicious.” On her food plan, which is mostly gluten-free, low-sugar, low-carb and high-protein, Aniston can eat unlimited meat, eggs, cheese, fish and shellfish. Lunch and dinner are usually a healthy protein with salad or a serving of veggies. As for snacks, “I love white peaches, when they’re in season, with a piece of string cheese,” she says. “And my not-so-healthy snack is chips and guacamole with a margarita. I’m so predictable, aren’t I?”
Working out plays a major role in maintaining her youthful physique. A longtime yoga and spinning devotee, Aniston switched things up with interval training — specifically Rise Nation, which combines cardio and climbing exercises. Then there are her intense sessions with trainer Leyon Azubuike.
