Jennifer Aniston was famously known for her tight tops on the hit show “Friends”, but she clarifies that it was just her personal taste. The actress, who is now 52, revealed on “The Howard Stern Show” that there was no pressure from anyone to wear revealing outfits. It was simply a choice that she preferred.
Aniston revealed that during her time playing Rachel Green on the hit show, Friends, she often opted for ‘90s fashion classics like crop tops and tiny turtlenecks. Her character was known for showing off a lot of skin with pleated miniskirts and sheer tops. When asked about rumors that she didn’t wear a bra while filming, Aniston remained tight-lipped and simply joked that it was a topic of conversation. Meanwhile, Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay on the show, discussed her character’s preference for flowy fashions with Howard Stern.
She reminisced about a certain outfit that had huge sleeves, which made her feel like she was covering the other actors when they hugged for a scene. She even described herself as a “mountainous thing” that devoured them. Additionally, she confessed that being slightly more curvaceous than Aniston and Cox made fittings a bit uncomfortable.
Kudrow clarified that she did not feel uncomfortable around her co-stars on “Friends,” but rather had a different body type that made some of the show’s clothing choices less flattering on her. The cast recently reunited for a popular special on HBO Max and a segment of “Carpool Karaoke” with James Corden, which included a fashion show featuring some of the sitcom’s most memorable looks. From Ross’ tight leather pants to Joey’s excessive layering, the stars paid tribute to the show’s iconic style.
During the “Carpool Karaoke” session, Kudrow, who is 57 years old, wore a burnt orange jumpsuit, while Aniston chose to wear a sleeveless turtleneck that was typical of Rachel Green’s style. Although Aniston still enjoys revealing some skin, it’s unlikely that she’ll don Rachel’s oversized hat or haircut during the upcoming summer season.
